Looking forward to the New Year!

Here we are, at the end of another year! Each New Years Eve is a wonderful time for Trevor and I, Because we met 3 years ago today! I am very thankful to have him in my life still!

2008 was rough to us at times. Due to work slowdowns for Trevor, he spend most the year laid off! And has worked for several different contractors on short-term assignments! I got a new job this year that lasted most of the year. We closed in on the 2 year anniversary of starting to try for a family, and it has been getting harder and harder each month that has passed, not only for me, but Trevor has been getting discouraged as well. We had gotten 3 new dogs this year, Kordi and Doyle in January, and Lou in July. Kordi had puppies in October, and we ended up finding homes for all of them, except for two, Tuck and Wolf. We found homes for Kordi and Doyle, and now have Ernie, Lou, Tuck, Wolf, and of course Ebeneezer! It has been a crazy pet year!

Now, we are gradually doing better and better. Trevor is steady with work at the moment, and they are saying it should last another year or so (keep your fingers crossed!) I am slowly realizing that our family will come to us when they are supposed to, and we need to just relax, and wait for it. It's easier said than done!

I have been lucky this year to be able to get to know my sister more, and grow friendships with some great people!

To my loyal fan base: (Hahahahaha) Thank you for being interested in our lives. I hope this New Year finds you well, and I hope you are safe, and happy in it. Remember the fun is only beginning! Stay tuned for any excitement!

SEE YOU IN 2009!!!!!!

Wonderful, lazy weekends!

Over the past weekend, we didn't have very much money to do much of anything, so we spent a lot of time at home. The puppies didn't mind having us at home to play with......Obviously, they got worn out on Saturday! They didn't budge from the kitchen floor while I was cleaning. Usually when I pass by, they jump up to follow, but they didn't, so I was lucky enough to catch this adorable moment!!!

I snapped a picture of Lou, I think he was hiding from everyone. I'm excited, he is going to the groomer tomorrow morning! So, he will be back to the puppy we brought home. I only hope he doesn't try to escape out the door when he doesn't have a coat on........He is a runner, and enjoys to run around our neighborhood.

Here's Ernie! He was relaxing on the floor too. He is learning how to be patient about playing fetch. We were able to teach him to sit, and wait patiently (okay, patiently for our Ernie!) But he does good! I'm so proud of him. It is his favorite passtime, excpecially inside!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!

We were snowed in today, barely able to make it out the driveway, and the half mile to Travis and Sunny's for breakfast! This was the first Christmas that it was just Trevor and I.....I really liked it.
We had some issues for Christmas. Trevor was supposed to be paid on Wednesday (xmas eve), however, his check never arrived! We still had some shopping to do, so I was really bummed. After several tears, and angry words, I realized that it wasn't such a bad thing, yes, it sucks, but when there's nothing you can do, what do you do? you make the best of the situation. So, we had a low key Christmas. We went to the Christmas party at Travis and Sunny's on Christmas eve, and stayed there until 2 am helping Santa, and playing Domino's. Sunshine gave me a Nativity set that I have been eyeing for a few months now! I am very thankful for her for that! And we got a new movie....Drillbit taylor? Haven't watched it yet....I hope its good!

We came home to a mess. I took pictures, and they are below. We had left the puppies and Lou out, and look what they did.
After we cleaned up, we went to bed, and woke up at 6am, to Trevor on the phone with his mom. She was supposed to come up to have breakfast, but with the weather, they couldn't make it, and turned around. Trevor told her it was a good idea to turn around. We promised we would come down on New Years....hopefully the weather will allow it.....I can't believe how much snow we have! We took the dogs outside, shortly after waking up, and Trevor had to sweep off the dish, which was a huge task.....Thankfully my hubby is very tall! In our back yard, there is a 3 foot drift, and a huge drift out front as well! It is crazy, so I had to take some pictures, which are on here too! We also took some picks of the puppies!

We stomped through the snow over to Cody and Andrea's to see what Santa bought, and were given wonderful gifts. Trevor got I am Legend, and they got me some Aromatherapy Sleeping oils, and lotions, and pillow mist from our fav store (bath and body)! Thanks Andrea! I am so excited to go to bed and give it a try! It smells sooooooooo yummy!

We went over to Trav and Sunny's for a wonderful breakfast of Sourdough pancakes......YUMMY! Thanks Sunny!

We took a long nap today, and spent alot of time lounging in bed watching tv.

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday! We love you all, and are truly blessed for the friends and family that we have!

Lost and Found.....What a wonderful thing!

About a two weekends ago I decided it was time to start wearing my wedding ring again, (Like many women, I have fluctuating finger sizes). And it was gone........nowhere to be found. Trevor asked me the last time I remembered wearing it. It was our nephew Braxton's birthday party! That's in September!!!! So about 2.5 months of not wearing my wedding ring!!! We searched the house. I ripped everything out of every spot I thought it could possibly be. I gave up, and decided it would show up sooner, or later, or never! Then that night, at about 2 am, I woke up with the thought of know, for a fact mind you, that I knew where that dang ring was. The night of Braxton's birthday, I was wearing the wonderful ring, and my hands started to swell, so I freaked out and had to have Trev help me take that blasted ring off! When we were coming out of Travis, and Sunny's house, and were getting into the car, Trevor had a pair of camo shorts, that he loved on. They hang low on him, because he doesn't have a butt. (Anyways, off subject)....They ripped (all the way down the front!) as he was lifting his leg into the Durango. When we made it home, bummed for the loss of the shorts, Trevor changed, and took the shorts promptly to the dumpster (good hubby!).......Only, I knew for a fact now that my ring was in one of the pockets of those pants, now at the bottom of the city dump! I was so upset!

This ring wasn't my original wedding ring, it was a wonderful gift from Trevor in April. My original wedding ring is a Platinum topaz, with two small diamonds on the sides...I loved it too, but Trevor wanted to get me a new one........If this happens ever 1.5 years, then I'll be a happy duck!

Anyways, off the subject! So, I was bummed right.....And told Trevor I knew where my ring was, and we weren't getting it back! He just looked at me and said he couldn't believe I had done that....I told him I was very sorry, and started to cry. My wonderful hubby gave me a huge hug and said it was okay. So, Of course I asked if he would buy me a new one in April again.....He told me I would have to be a very good wify, and he would consider it!

On Monday, I decided to re-arrange our living room. When I was moving the computer, I was under the desk trying to untangle the cables, when I lifted the surge protector, and there on the floor in front of me was that ring!!!!

I was so happy, that I called everyone to tell them not to fret, I found my ring!

So, Lost sucks, but finding something you thought was gone forever! What a wonderful thing!

Winter Wonderland!

Overnight we had a huge snow storm. We ended up with about 8 to 10 inches on the ground, and it is still snowing! I decided to dust off the car, and go to the store. When I got back, I decided to take all the puppies out into the snow. They all loved it very much, and were covered from head to paw in the wonderful white snow. They ran around, and figured out how to jump the snow drifts! We had fun out in the snow, and I took some pictures to share with you!

Twilight Movie

Last week I finished the first book in the Twilight Series, and Trevor took me to see the movie last night! I loved it. I was a little worried, because quite a few people that went to watch it right after reading the book were disappointed. I wasn't disappointed with the movie at all. The book and the movie are two separate projects, that have the same concept behind them, and they were more alike than I thought it could be. I am in the middle of New Moon, and I hope that the books, and movies get better and better.

Goodbye Doyle!

Tonight we will be saying goodbye to Doyle. He is going back to the people we got him from. They have a lot more animals than we do, and a lot more space, so he will be very happy. We will still have Ernie, and Lou, and the new arrivals, Tuck, and Wolf. So, here are some pics of Doyle since we have had him.

Holiday Season 2008

Well, the holidays have started, and I am starting to get Christmas cards out to our loved ones... This year has been a hard one. Trevor was laid off several times throughout the year, and made it difficult to get by at times. We had to learn how to be humble, and ask for help, that was a hard one for both of us. I think we also learned how to appreciate the differences in us....... I love him more everyday that comes.

I will be writing again before this year is over, I am sure, so I will keep you posted......ha.

Goodbye Kordi! Friday Nov 28, 2008

Friday we gave Kordi to a wonderful couple from Rigby. They seemed to fall in love with her at first sight. She liked them too. We will continue to get updates on Kordi, but she isn't our baby anymore. That night, we were grieving her. Here are some picks of our Kordi.
