A day to remember!

Without her, we wouldn't be who we are today!
97 years ago today, my Grandma Elsie was born. She was such a strong, beautiful woman, and I always looked up to her. I was lucky to get able to spend so much time with her doing what she loved to do....Quilt, cook, play cards, and hunting for huckleberries. We would have great talks, and she was always very patient at teaching me new things.

Grandma had made a star quilt for each granddaughter's wedding. She made mine years before I had even considered marriage! We weren't allowed to finish the quilts, or use them until the wedding. She made us promise....I even thing she thought about making us sign something saying we wouldn't!

In the picture above is Grandma with 3 of her granddaughters from left: Me, Becka, and Tess.
Grandma went to heaven in 2003. I'm certain she is having a blast with everyone who went before, and after. She is probably stock piling quilts to welcome all of us home.
Grandma, we love and miss you very much. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of you, and all you taught me.
