Cowgirl Don't Cry!

I heard this song a few months ago, and while I was surfing the Internet today, I came upon the video for it. I cried, of course, and wanted to put it on here. As some of you know, I don't have a relationship with my dad for many reasons, but when I hear this song, I always think of the man I used to think he was, and wishing I could still know him that way. When I first started out on my own, he helped me quite a bit, and said he was always there if I needed him, and he was.

It's amazing to me that I grieve the loss of him as tho he is already dead....I guess in a way he is to me. I know this might not make sense to some of you, however, I know quite a few of you understand why I feel the way I do about my father.

2009 IBEW Union Picnic!

Saturday was the Annual IBEW Local Picnic. We enjoy going every year, and are usually helpers. This year was a little different for us, because Trevor wasn't volunteered, however, we made wonderfully Yummy brownies, and enjoyed out time chatting with the other Journeymen, and Apprentices. We also won a cooler! Which is awesome, because we usually win gift certificates to businesses we don't like... Here are a few pictures of our day...enjoy!

Sunday evening BBQ

On Sunday, Trevor and I were just going to relax, however, Travis and Sunshine had other ideas for us! They decided that we needed to have a BBQ at the house....No problem. Well, that BBQ turned into a huge party. We had Travis, and Sunshine, and kids, Cody, Andrea, and kids, Jason, and Brittany, Ashley, and Brad! We had a lot of fun, and were happy that they had the wonderful idea of inviting everyone over, we had a great time!

In other news.......Our newest niece Addison turned 6months old on Sunday! She is a crawler now, and reeking havoc for her poor parents!!! She is growing up way too fast!!!

Here are a few pictures of her crawling away!

Kami holding Daisy! What cuties! And, Daisy doesn't seem to care at all....

Alexa holding Daisy too...They took turns holding her for a little while.

Independance Day!

On the 4th we went to Trevor's dad's house for a BBQ. We were joined of course by his dad, and his wife, and their daughters. Travis, Sunshine, and their gang. We also had Ryan (a guy from Ben and Trevor's carpool), and his family with us.
Here is a picture of Addison riding on Ben's dog Bruno......And, no, he isn't named after that stupid movie!
After the BBQ, and the CRAZY rain storm, we went up to a hill that over looks the fairgrounds to watch the fireworks. They were lovely, and we had a great view! Here we are cuddled up in the Durango!

Happy Independance Day Weekend.....Crazy weather!

Over the last few days we have had some crazy weather here in Idaho. On Friday, July 3rd, Trevor and I went to Soda Springs to watch the community performance of "Hello Dolly", our friends Daniel and Cassidy, and their daughter Gwen were in the play. It was very funny, and a lot of fun! While we were waiting for Jason and Brittany to get to town, we had dinner with Trevor's Mom and Dad at Ender's Restaurant. While dining, a major hail/rain storm began. We witnessed a flash flood down main street!

I of course had to get some pictures.......

The water was so far out into the street, Trevor had to wade to get the car out for me.....He was in shorts, and I had pants on...so, he was the unlucky one to have to get into that ice cold water....Sorry baby!
