Updates...

I haven't been doing to well at updating out blog...I get the main thing in tho, so that is good!!!
Here are a few pictures to update you on what has been going on in our life..

Ms. Daisy surprised us with kittens. She had them the saturday before my birthday. They are growing so much, and running around too fast for me to catch too many pictures. I'll get some more soon, and share.

This is Manny. He is our youngest dog, yet he is quickly becoming the biggest, granted, he still has a little bit before he will over come Ernie.
Here is Ernie. He is doing ok. just turned 4, and is having some problems with his hips, but we have him back on his ibuprofin/glucosamine regimine, so hopefully he will be doing better again soon.
And, of course, Ebeneezer. He just turned 4, and is so silly.
Here, we found him in Trevor's dresser. Silly kitten!

I don't have any pictures of Wolf and Steve to upload, but I will get some soon.

Other than these pictures, not too sure what else to update on. I'm going to be put into a back brace to hopefully fix my back, so we will see. I will be in it for 6 weeks! It will be interesting to say the least!

3-0!

Well, I am 30! Its not too bad at all! Granted, I have only been 30 for a few weeks, but, its going quite good! :) Trevor took me to Salt Lake City for the weekend, and I got to go shopping and get some new clothes! We also ate at Benihanas, and that is AWESOME!! We also found a cute little cafe that was so yummy too!

I'm having another steroid shot on the 12th, and if that doesn't help my back, then I will be in a back brace for 6 weeks. I talked to Trevor about the brace, and if he will help with house work. He said he would rather get a maid, and laundry service! I was thinking, Why haven't I done that already! lol!

I'll keep you updated on my back. I hope everyone is having a good October so far!

Happy Birthday Trevor!!!

The man of my dreams....
TURNS.....
30
tomorrow!!! This guy makes my life better every single second he is in it.
Trevor works so hard for us to have a good life, and he seems to be able to put up with me...
Trevor is a very loving, kind hearted teddy bear. He lights up my life, and sometimes, I don't really think he truly knows how lucky I am. Well, honey, you make every day fun.
As you tell me on rough days,
"I would rather have a bad day with you, than a good day without you."
I hope you have a very Happy Birthday! I promise you, 30 will not be as bad as you think....now, I am only speculating, because I'm younger than you are, and haven't reached that age yet....LOL!! :)

Adventures....with the Gregory's!

We got a new car...a 2007 Ford Fusion! It is so purrdy! :) We got it on Saturday, and decided to test her out on Sunday afternoon. I picked a place for us to go, and we got in the car and went.

Our first adventure was to
Palisades Reservoir
A two hour drive, but so pretty! We actually made the loop over thru Wyoming, and came out in Soda Springs, and stopped to see Trevor's mom. I forgot the camera, and video camera at home, so I just snapped a few pictures with my phone, and it does pretty good pictures....if I do say so myself....
This was our first trip together thru Palisades, and we will be going back to be able to spend a little more time, since we got a late start, we didn't get to do too much looking around....Next time, bring a lunch.....

Trevor and I trying to make sure we are in the picture, and it was so, so bright!

This is looking North off the dam. Such a pretty area....

The other side of the dam...it was really low...I was kinda surprised.

More of the reservoir. It was a little windy standing on the dam, but it felt SO good with the warm sun shining down.

There you go, 1 drive down....several more to go.....

Happy Independence day to everone.

Thank you to all the service men and women who fight, and those who have lost their lives for our freedom. I will forever be grateful.

I am very thankful for every right that I have, and that I am able to live here in the USA.

A day to remember!

Without her, we wouldn't be who we are today!
97 years ago today, my Grandma Elsie was born. She was such a strong, beautiful woman, and I always looked up to her. I was lucky to get able to spend so much time with her doing what she loved to do....Quilt, cook, play cards, and hunting for huckleberries. We would have great talks, and she was always very patient at teaching me new things.

Grandma had made a star quilt for each granddaughter's wedding. She made mine years before I had even considered marriage! We weren't allowed to finish the quilts, or use them until the wedding. She made us promise....I even thing she thought about making us sign something saying we wouldn't!

In the picture above is Grandma with 3 of her granddaughters from left: Me, Becka, and Tess.
Grandma went to heaven in 2003. I'm certain she is having a blast with everyone who went before, and after. She is probably stock piling quilts to welcome all of us home.
Grandma, we love and miss you very much. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of you, and all you taught me.

WHAT LOVE MEANS TO AGE 4 TO 8 YEAR OLD CHILDREN

I got this emailed to me from one of my good friend Brittany, and I just had to share it. It's adorable, and made me cry!

Touching words from the mouths of babes.
What does 'Love' mean?
A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds, 'What does 'love' mean?'
The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined. See what you think:

'When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore.
So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love.'

Rebecca- age 8

'When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different.
You just know that your name is safe in their mouth.'

Billy - age 4

'Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other.'
Karl - age 5

'Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs.'
Chrissie
- age 6

'Love is what makes you smile when you're tired.'
Terri - age 4

'Love is when my mummy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK.'
Danny - age 7

'Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My Mummy and Daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss'
Emily - age 8

'Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen.'
Bobby - age 7 (Wow!)

'If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate,'
Nikka - age 6

(we need a few million more Nikka's on this planet)

'Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday..'
Noelle - age 7

'Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well.'
Tommy - age 6

'During my piano recital, I was on a stage and I was scared. I looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and smiling. He was the only one doing that. I wasn't scared anymore.'
Cindy - age 8

'My mummy loves me more than anybody You don't see anyone else kissing me to sleep at night.'
Clare - age 6

'Love is when Mummy gives Daddy the best piece of chicken.'
Elaine-age 5

'Love is when Mummy sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer than Robert Redford.'
Chris - age 7

'Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day'
Mary Ann - age 4

'I know my older sister loves me because she gives me all her old clothes and has to go out and buy newones.'
Lauren - age 4

'When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and little stars come out of you.' (what an image)
Karen - age 7

'Love is when Mummy sees Daddy on the toilet and she doesn't think it's gross.'
Mark - age 6

'You really shouldn't say 'I love you' unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget.'
Jessica - age 8

And the final one -- Author and lecturer Leo Buscaglia once talked about a contest he was asked to judge.
The purpose of the contest was to find the most caring child.

The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife.
Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there.
When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbour, the little boy said,

'Nothing, I just helped him cry'

When there is nothing left, that is when you find out that love is all you need.

Going back in time......

Many, many years ago, Trevor and I were little children....Yes, its true......Believe it or not, we were not always joined at the hip....however, we sure were both very adorable kids.
A few weeks ago I posted some old pictures of my dad, Trevor, and others. I just wanted to share some old pictures of myself.

This is my little sister and me ages 3 and 4

I was around 3 years old in the above picture. The morning of this picture, I had my first interaction with Blueberries....little did my mom know, I was alergic to them....So, I had the red rash on my face. I'm no longer alergic to blueberries, but it is kinda funny that I have these professional pictures to show my experience.

Here is Trevor! He was 1 year old.

Very, very adorable lil man!

No more work......for a while.....

Well, today was Trevor's last day at work for probably about 6 months or so. In January he fell on some ice at work, and hurt his shoulder pretty bad. He was sent to a Shoulder and knee specialist, and sure enough, he ripped it up pretty good. He has to have surgery on it. We have been waiting for the surgery to be approved through the workers compensation insurance company, and today he was told they can no longer accommodate his restrictions.

So, now we still are waiting on the surgery, and Trevor is home. It is kinda nice to think of having my hubby home with me, and we will be able to make ends meet as well.

I will post some pictures of Trevor after surgery, and let you all know how he is doing.

Happy St. Patty's day as well! :)

We went to Hoover Dam on Thursday before coming home! It was gorgeous! The prettiest day we had while we were there! 70 Degrees.

A good picture of the new bridge.

Our last night in Vegas. This is a picture of the strip.

Crazy Times.....

Last week was a very difficult week for the Gregory clan! Trevor and I were both sick for the most part of the week with Stomach flu, and Strep Throat. It was horrible!
On top of that our nieces (Travis and Sunshine's girls) were in the hospital. Very difficult for all of us.
Kamille is 3 and was in the hospital from last Monday until today. Addison is 1 and was admitted on Friday and released on Sunday. So, we spent a lot of time up at the hospital helping entertain the little ones!

Trevor and Addison on Saturday playing in the toy room of the Peds floor.

She was in a pretty good mood for being so sick...

Kamille and Addison Sunday afternoon playing in the toy room of the peds floor.

Very glad to see Kamille playing, that is a good sign.

Good-Bye to my Lou-dog...

Lou went to a new home yesterday. A very nice, young couple who don't have any other animals took our little guy in. Lou has lived with us for a little over a year. He was a rescue dog, that we took out of a situation where the family didn't spend very much, if any time with him.
In the last few months, Lou wasn't getting along with Wolf, he was wanting to dominate him. So, we knew we needed to find a new home for him to be an Alpha dog in. So, that is when we decided to give him up. It was a very difficult decision for Trevor and I, however, we have re homed a few other animals within the last year, so we knew when it was time for him to go. Some pets just don't get along, either with the owner, or other pets.
We are very happy that we will be able to stay in touch with his new owners. I will miss him cuddling, and greeting me, but, I am glad that the stress of the dogs not getting along is gone.
