Our Weekend!

This past weekend we had a lot of stuff going on...Here are a few things we did this weekend.....

Friday

On Friday, we went up to the Idaho Falls/Rigby area to see my mom, brothers, and their families. We had a lot of fun....Here are a few pictures of our adventure.....
for those of you who don't know, my mom and her man go on trips up into the mountains of Idaho, and deserts of Arizona, and find so many treasures....
Above, is a picture of a piece of Petrified wood my mom found.

This old wheelbarrow is filled with cactus, and rocks...
I think mom likes to be reminded of her other home in Arizona!

Below, are two pictures of some of the many awesome rocks she has found over the years....

This is my momma, and her man(Marlin).
They are so cute together!!!!

Trevor and me...

My oldest Brother Rocky, his wife Kristina,
and their 3 year old Rocky D

My Older Brother Sam, his wife Krista,
And their boys: Ben, Trace, and Garrett

This is the Yummy Ice cream cake my mom got for us.

Saturday

On Saturday, we celebrated our nephew, Braxton's 7th Birthday!

Brax, with the Wolverine Claw we got him...

Trevor, cutting the cake...
Singing, Happy Birthday to you...
All the boys gathered around Brad, while he played a game...
Not one of the boys noticed that it was a PINK DS!

A Garder Snake!!! On my FRONT Lawn!!!
In a city???
Seriously!!!!!
We also helped Trevor's brother and his family move into a new home this weekend....
That was two long days of packing, and moving....
Well, okay, it was really 1.5days, and Trevor skipped out on Sunday's part....
However, we were really tired come Sunday night!

29...not so bad....so far....

Well folks....today I turned 29! Yup....I'm that old....
the last bday in my 20's..
and, I gotta tell you...
it doesn't feel so bad....
Granted, last night, I did have a freak out moment,
when I realized I was getting close to 40..11 years...
That's close....its less than half my life to that age....

Another realization...

Trevor and I will be older parents... Which, isn't that bad.

But, my mom was 40 when I graduated high school!!!!

WOWZERS!!!!

Enough talk of oldness....I'm not even 30 yet!!! What do I have to be so worried about!

I hope this last year of my 20's is as good as my past years!!!!

Thanks to all my friends and family for sticking with me through my nutty moments!

Scottish Games are for strong men

This guy has been in Strong man competitions, and is a strong, cool dude! Trevor was in awe of him! We watched him in several events, and I got a video as he broke a record...... 20lb sack, 23 feet in the air! Good job guy!

Here are some pictures of our day! We went to the Scottish games at Cotant Park....coincidentally, this is the park that Trevor and I were married at! :) Anyways, we went with Travis, Sunshine, and their kiddos! We had a blast!

Where were you when the world Stopped turning?

Where were you when the world stopped turning that September day
Out in the yard with your wife and children
Working on some stage in LA
Did you stand there in shock at the site of
That black smoke rising against that blue sky
Did you shout out in anger
In fear for your neighbor
Or did you just sit down and cry

Did you weep for the children
Who lost their dear loved ones
And pray for the ones who don't know
Did you rejoice for the people who walked from the rubble
And sob for the ones left below

Did you burst out in pride
For the red white and blue
The heroes who died just doing what they do
Did you look up to heaven for some kind of answer
And look at yourself to what really matters

I'm just a singer of simple songs
I'm not a real political man
I watch CNN but I'm not sure I can tell you
The difference in Iraq and Iran
But I know Jesus and I talk to God
And I remember this from when I was young
Faith hope and love are some good things he gave us
And the greatest is love

Where were you when the world stopped turning that September day
Teaching a class full of innocent children
Driving down some cold interstate
Did you feel guilty cause you're a survivor
In a crowded room did you feel alone
Did you call up your mother and tell her you love her
Did you dust off that bible at home
Did you open your eyes and hope it never happened
Close your eyes and not go to sleep
Did you notice the sunset the first time in ages
Speak with some stranger on the street
Did you lay down at night and think of tomorrow
Go out and buy you a gun
Did you turn off that violent old movie you're watching
And turn on "I Love Lucy" reruns
Did you go to a church and hold hands with some stranger
Stand in line and give your own blood
Did you just stay home and cling tight to your family
Thank God you had somebody to love

I'm just a singer of simple songs
I'm not a real political man
I watch CNN but I'm not sure I can tell you
The difference in Iraq and Iran
But I know Jesus and I talk to God
And I remember this from when I was young
Faith hope and love are some good things he gave us
And the greatest is love

I'm just a singer of simple songs
I'm not a real political man
I watch CNN but I'm not sure I can tell you
The difference in Iraq and Iran
But I know Jesus and I talk to God
And I remember this from when I was young
Faith hope and love are some good things he gave us
And the greatest is love

The greatest is love

The greatest is love

September 11th Remembered...

Do you remember where you were when you heard the news, or watched the towers fall?

I was in Kent, Washington waking up to get ready for work...And, my roommate turned on the tv right when the second plane crashed. We were silent. I got ready for work, and was due to go to Downtown Seattle for a meeting. I met my coworkers at our office, and we headed out. It was so quiet, usually you heard planes, and helicopters, but there wasn't anything. We spent most our meeting watching the news.

It changed the way I lived my life, remembering what is important, and what I wanted in my life. Every year I am awakened by what happened, and how for an instance, we were all together in something, how you opened your eyes and helped a stranger.

Saturday was Trevor's Grandpa's 80th birthday! He is such a cute old guy! We had a lot of fun celebrating with Trevor's Mom and family. We also got some much needed family pictures! I don't have a copy of the whole family yet, but when I do, I'll do another post! Dana also did a very good job on a slide show of Grandpa's life!
