2009 Draft, and a new hair color.....

Trevor and I hosted the annual NFL Draft on Saturday.
Trevor, Travis, and Jason get together each year to watch it together.
Trevor made waffles for breakfast for everyone, which included Travis, Sunshine, Pacen, Braxton, Kamille, Addison, Jason, Brittany, Andrea, Cody, Mason, Austin, and Lexa, and Ashley.
We had a house full all day. It was a lot of fun. Then, we BBQ'd Burgers for everyone, we even tried the signature burger from Red Robin, with egg on the burger.....It was really yummy.
Here are some pictures from our fun filled Saturday.
Addison...at almost 4 months...She is getting so big!
Kamille is 2 1/2, and growing faster every day. She was so proud of the cheaseburger she helped Uncle Trevor make.

Pacen and Braxton helping Trevor with all the chease burgers.
They did really well flipping them! I think we have future bbqers here!

And, here is the highlighting job Trevor and I did on Sunday.....
I think I might have had him pull too much through the cap....
but, we love it! I haven't been blonde in a few years.

100th post......Unconditional Love

The following is some pictures, and a story.
It touched me, and made me start thinking about
Life, Love, and Happiness.
I want to say thank you to all my friends and family for
being a great support system for me in my times of need.
I am very thankful to have such a great man as my soul mate,
and am lucky to call him my husband.
I look forward to everyday we have together,
and am very thankful for everyday
that passes when I am in your arms.
We should all be so lucky………. Her name is Katie Kirkpatrick, 21 yrs old. Next to her is her fiancee, Nick, 23. This picture was taken prior to their wedding January 11Th, 2005. Katie has terminal cancer and spends hours in chemotherapy. Here Nick awaits while she finishes one of the sessions..

Even in pain and dealing with her organs shutting down, with the help of morphine, Katie took care of every single wedding planning. Her dress had to be adjusted several times due to Katie ' s constant weight loss.

An expected guest was her oxygen tank. Katie had to use it during the ceremony and reception. The other couple in this picture are Nick ' s parents, very emotional with the wedding and of course to see their son marrying the girl he fell in love when he was an adolescent.

Katie, in a wheel chair listening to her husband and friends singing to her.

In the middle of the party Katie had to rest for a bit and catch her breath. The pain doesn't ' t allow her to stand for long period of time.

Katie died 5 days after her wedding.
To see a fragile woman dress as bride with a beautiful smile makes you think...
happiness is always there within reach, no matter how long it lasts.....
lets enjoy life and don ' t live a complicated life.
Life is too short.
work as if it was your first day
forgive as soon as possible
love without boundaries
laugh without control
and never stop smiling
even if you don't know the reason.
Please pray for those suffering from cancer.
We all have close to our heart.

Enrichment night

Last night was our Enrichment night for our ward. It was a wonderful dinner to celebrate birthdays, and a moment to listen to some wonderful music, and prepared talks. I was in charge of the September tables center piece, and here is a picture of what I came up with. I also included a picture of me all dressed up for the event.

Are you getting your money's worth?

Over the last year, I have been trying to track how many loads
I am getting out of each box of detergent. I started this, because
I was starting to wonder if I really was getting
the right amount of loads out of each box.
So, every time I start a load of laundry, I make a mark on the box.
I used to only write down the date that I purchased it,
and go off of days of use, instead of actual usage.
Here's what I have found, I usually do around 60-65 loads of laundry a month, and usually only get that many loads out of my Gain box. This month, I bought Tide Liquid, and am testing that out. Hopefully it is better. I will do a follow up when I have my data.

Smile of the day

Here is a picture of my first blooms of the season.
I also want to share a cute email I received
from my sister-in-law Tava.
Summary of Life
GREAT TRUTHS THAT LITTLE CHILDREN HAVE LEARNED:
1) No matter how hard you try, you can't baptize cats..
2) When your Mum is mad at your Dad, don't let her brush your hair.
3) If your sister hits you, don't hit her back. They always catch the second person.
4) Never ask your 3-year old brother to hold a tomato.
5) You can't trust dogs to watch your food.
6) Don't sneeze when someone is cutting your hair.
7) Never hold a Dust-Buster and a cat at the same time.
8) You can't hide a piece of broccoli in a glass of milk.
9) Don't wear polka-dot underwear under white shorts.
10) The best place to be when you're sad is Grandpa's lap.
GREAT TRUTHS THAT ADULTS HAVE LEARNED:
1) Raising teenagers is like nailing jelly to a tree.
2) Wrinkles don't hurt.
3) Families are like fudge...mostly sweet, with a few nuts
4) Today's mighty oak is just yesterday's nut that held its ground..
5) Laughing is good exercise. It's like jogging on the inside.
6) Middle age is when you choose your cereal for the fiber, not the toy.
GREAT TRUTHS ABOUT GROWING OLD
1) Growing old is mandatory; growing up is optional..
2) Forget the health food. I need all the preservatives I can get.
3) When you fall down, you wonder what else you can do while you're down there.
4) You're getting old when you get the same sensation from a rocking chair that you once got from a roller coaster.
5) It's frustrating when you know all the answers but nobody bothers to ask you the questions.
6) Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician
7) Wisdom comes with age, but sometimes age comes alone.
THE FOUR STAGES OF LIFE:
1) You believe in Santa Claus.
2) You don't believe in Santa Claus.
3) You are Santa Claus.
4) You look like Santa Claus.
SUCCESS:
At age 4 success is .. . . . not piddling in your pants.
At age 12 success is . . . having friends.
At age 17 success is . . having a driver's license.
At age 35 success is . . . .having money.
At age 50 success is . . . having money.
At age 70 success is . . . having a drivers license.
At age 75 success is . . . having friends.
At age 80 success is . . . not piddling in your pants.
Pass this on to someone who could use a laugh.
Always remember to forget the troubles that pass your way;
BUT NEVER forget the blessings that come each day.
Have a wonderful day with many! *smiles*
Take the time to live!!!
Life is too short.
Dance naked. woo-hoo!

Ernie, Eddie, and our friend the Squirrel.

Here is a squirrel that has been camped out in the two trees in
front of our house today.
He let me take two sets of pictures of him.
I'm sure he would have sat there all day.
If I had kept taking pictures.
And, here is a snapshot I got last night before bed.
Ernie, adn Eddie laying in the hallway.
Before I started taking pictures,
they were nose to nose.
Ernie is our cat lover.

It was so much fun to do together.

The Easter Bunny Got to Us Too!

This morning, Trevor surprised me with Flowers, and a basket
full of yummy candy, and fun little gifts.
This had been our plan for Easter, but It slipped my mind.
So, I headed to the store to get a few groceries,
and got Trevor a few fun things as well.
The only problem of waiting until
last minute, you don't have
a big choice on things.
But, we got lucky, and got a lot of fun things.

Note: This is the second time Trevor has bought me flowers! It's my fault really, because I told him it doesn't matter. Which it really doesn't, I like being surprised by them though.

Happy Easter!

To me, Easter is the begining of Spring! I love to see the spring babies. My sister in law sent me an e-mail of cute baby animals And here are my favorite pictures. They all were adorable, but I couldn't post all of them. I hope you enjoy.

Loving Spring......Rain?

This beautiful overcast morning, when I opened my front door for the first time of the day, to put my dogs outside, This is what I found.......Do you see it?!? It's Green Grass! I was so happy to see it, even if the ground is wet from the rain we got last night. Besides the fact that it is warming up.
An even better sign of spring....my tulips are well on their way of growing!
These were already in the ground when we moved in, and were a big surprise last spring, because we had moved in August, so they were long gone by the time we arrived.

And, What's one of my entries without a picture of one of our babies?
This is Ernie last night after Trevor went to bed.
Apparently, he loves to stretch out on the couch when everyone is in bed.
When he is all stretched, he is about as long as the couch....isn't that crazy?
He still thinks he is a little puppy, because every other animal
of ours is itty-bitty compared to him.

Crazy space picture

I know this picture is all over the web today, but why not have it here on my blog too. So, this is a picture from outerspace. It looks like a hand reaching for the red lights. It is amazing what you can find in nature.....even if nature is in outerspace.

I got a kick out of this pic, and hope you do too. That's all for now!

I think spring is here!!

Today has been so beautiful. Warm sun on my skin, and being able to have the front door open, to have fresh air come into our home. I am so glad! This is one of my favorite seasons, mostly because everything is so new. I am very excited for it to get warmer and warmer! Camping trips and cook outs are to come soon!

My First Year of Blogging

Well, I missed my anniversary by a few days. On March 17, 2008 I started my Blog! It's hard to believe it has been a year already. Here are a few highlights of our past year.

* We have been blessed with another beautiful niece Addison Paige, daughter of Travis and Sunshine.

* We are very happy to say that Obama is our President!

*Twilight came out in Theatres, and was released on DVD!

* Trevor and I survived spending a month apart. (Due to a great paying job in Soda Springs)

* Our Kordi had Seven (7) Puppies! Bring our total of dogs to 11!

* We found homes for 5 of those puppies within 4 days of posting the add!

* Kordi, Doyle, and Tuck went to new homes. And are very happy with their new parents.

This picture is what I have to deal with most times I write a blog...a kitty blocking my view! I am very excited to be starting a new year of blogging, and hope that whomever reads this blog, will get some sort of joy out of it....I know I do!

You have to take the bad with the GOOD!

I am a very proud pet owner (Momma). I love them as though they are my real babies, and most days, I would rather be around them and my husband than other people. However, as my close friends and family know, I have a squeamish tummy, and so does my husband (his is way worse though!). And with 3 dogs, we have our own share of poo to clean up. Luckily, they are all house trained, and rarely have an accident, but, I do have to clean up our yard...twice a month, or more often.
The funniest thing is that each of them has their own designated area to go poo. Its so silly. I think they have ocd or something!
Anyways, I'm sure that this isn't what you thought I would blog about, but we all have to clean up our own share of poo.....

Goodbye Tuck...

Today, Tuck found his forever home. With 4 dogs, and 3 cats in the house,
it was getting a little frantic. So, I found a guy who was looking for a partner
for his little dog. Tuck and the dog got along from the beginning,
and Tuck jumped into the mans car when we told him to.
I know that it was a good fit for him, he will have so much room
to run around and have a lot of fun. We decided that we will be
keeping in touch with him, so we will have regular check ups on the little guy.
It certainly was a difficult decision, however, he seems really happy.
