Memorial Day Weekend

Our long weekend, actually started on a sour note.......Trevor was hurt at work....My wonderfully clumsy hubby rolled his ankle on a round rock on a path at work, and to catch himself twisted his leg. So, he came home on Wednesday evening with a swollen leg from knee to toe! So, he ended up getting a 5 day weekend, and to the doctor we went on Thursday. Turns out he severely sprained his ankle, and knee, and had to stay off of it as much as possible for the next few days.

We went to Braxton's graduation on Friday, and then relaxed on Saturday with a lunch with his Mom who celebrated her birthday with us at lunch, then a movie (Terminator Salvation...which by the way is awesome!)

Sunday, We had a wonderful BBQ with Trevor's Dad, and Travis, Sunny and kids, also had Brad and Ashley in attendance. Even with the rain it turned out great! This year I convinced Ben to try to smoke Brisket.....and oh my goodness it was so yummy! We also had Fried Okra, Spinach dip, Banana Pudding made by Travis, and BBQ Beans. I ate so much that I didn't eat dinner that night. We then headed over to Travis and Sunny's for some fun Guitar Hero with Travis, Sunny, Brad, Ashley, Brianna, Trevor, and of course ME! I have also included a picture of the pretty rainbow after the major downpour!

Monday, We relaxed, and went on a drive around Pocatello. I hope everyone out there had a happy and safe Memorial Day weekend.
I want to take a moment, and thank those who have fought, and died for our freedom. I am very thankful to live in a free country. I am also very thankful for the families of those soldiers. We need to remember that they are heroes too.

Braxton's Graduation!

Our nephew Braxton graduated from Kindergarten on Friday.
He was so happy, he wore his cap around town afterwards, and enjoyed the attention.

Braxton and Trevor Smiling for the camera. Trev wore his superman shirt just for Braxy.

Not to be out done, younger sister Kamille told me that she is going into the first grade next year! At the ripe old age of 2.5! what a cutie!

When I asked Pacen (Braxton's older brother), if he was ready for 3rd grade, he said "Yeah, but I'm not excited about getting homework everyday!" Poor kid, and mom says she's not happy about that either.

And, last but certainly not least, Addison will be 5 months old in June, and is getting so big! She is such a happy baby, and loves her Auntie Vicky!

Addison is pictured about happy as can be sitting up, with the help of Grandpa Ben!

What a Weekend!

Trevor and our newest niece Addison Paige!

This past weekend was filled to the brim with fun......

Friday, Trevor and I hung out with Travis and Sunshine (Trevor's bro and his wife). We had a lot of fun. The boys went to look at tools, and what not, while Sunny and I looked at children's stuff, and scrap booking essentials! Then, we all met up and had lunch at Chili's and were off again....to meet up for dinner, and games.

Saturday, We went to Layton, Utah with Trevor's Dad and his wife. We went to look at cars for them, and ended up falling in love with a few ourselves, and will be getting a new car in a few weeks. We then went to Cracker Barrel for lunch.... It was so yummy! Chicken fried Chicken, fried okra, and Macncheese! YUMMY! We will be eating there every time we go now! Then, we came home, and were so tired, that we didn't do much, but have a BBQ with Trav and Sunny, and play Guitar Hero....That game is so stinking fun!

Sunday, We woke up, and got to work on cleaning out the garage.....Okay, so really, Trevor woke up at a good time and got started with Brad (Trevor's little sister Ashley's boyfriend) and, they let me sleep in a little. By 10am, I got my butt rolling, and started to pitch in. We got our garage all cleaned up, except for Brad's stuff, and our regular garage stuff. Now, we can fit a car in there! We also cleaned up the Air Conditioner, to get it ready to install in the house.

While working on cleaning up the AC, and other things, my lower back popped, and my nerve is acting up again, so I can't do hardly anything now. So, of course my house is thrashed, and it might take me a while to get it back up and running.

What a fun weekend we had though. Now, the weather is so pretty, and so warm! I am very excited for what this summer will bring!

Oodles of Craft.....My new Adventure?

Well, I have decided to try and sell all my crafts. After going to a craft show with my sister-in-law Sunshine, and my friend Andrea, I realized that I might be able to pull this off.....

So, what I am asking is if any of you who read my blog would want any of these special works of art. I am able to personalize them for you. Please look at my other blog: www.http://oodlesofcraft.blogspot.com. I will be posting my crafts there from now on. I have several new ideas that I am working on now.

Thanks everyone.

Happy Mother's Day!

We had a Mother's day celebration with my Mother in law on Saturday. I made her one of the blocked names that I am now doing for crafts. I also made her a set of glasses with Mom on one side, and Dana on the other, and did one for Lynn as well. I also made her a Birthday card, because her birthday is on the 23rd. Thanks to everyone for coming, we had a blast.

Crafting!

Well, loyal readers, and web wonderers....here are my newest creations with my Cricut machine....which I might add is an awesome investment!

I found these cement decorative bricks for sidewalks and gardens. I prettied them up with some craft paint, and did the vinyl lettering!

Please let me know what you think.

Also, if anyone is interested, I will make these for you....for a price....depending on what size, and amount of lettering the cost is between 5 to 10$.

Thanks....

Mother's day bbq for my Mommy

On Sunday, I went up to Rexburg to have a BBQ with my Mom, Marlin, my brothers and their families. We had a wonderful time, with some yummy food, and some fun outside on the children's 4 wheeler.
To the left is my mom with two of Sam's boys Trace, and Ben. The picture below is Trace on the 4wheeler. Trace is 5.

Left is a picture of my mom, my brother Rocky, and his son Rocky Dennis who is 3. Below is Rocky, and Rocky D on the 4 wheeler, later, Rocky D was riding all by himself!

Left is Sam on the little 4wheeler, he rode it up and down the road. He is just a big kid! Below is another picture of Trace on the wheeler, and Garrett is running after him, wanting his turn.
Both our Rocky's what cute smiles! And, below is Garrett, who is two, riding the 4 wheeler with daddy right by his side.
The picture to the left is Loulou Rocky's Shitz-tzu. She is adorable, and I think my Lou Dog would love her!
So, there you have pictures and commentary of my mother's day with my Mommy. This coming weekend, is the actual Mother's Day if you didn't already know that. And, we are having a BBQ here at our home for Trevor's mom, and family. I will have tons of pictures from that one as well.

The actual 100th post!

Well Folks....I guess I was looking at the wrong counter...I was looking at the counter on my Dashboard, and that included all of my drafts! When I deleted them, I wasn't quite at 100! So, this is my version of a retraction....

I would like to apologize to those who I may have upset with the confusion.....lol.....

Anyways, Life has been really good to us here in our own little neck of the woods. Trevor is still working steady, which is an everyday blessing. Ashley and Brad are living in our basement, which is an every day blessing. I'm working hard here at home too.
We bought a Cricut Expression this past week, so that I can work on my crafts, and scrap booking.....I'll tell you a little secret.....I think Trevor was more excited than I was when it arrived......I mean almost more excited. The past few days I have been practicing with it, and am getting better and better with it, so I'm very excited to report that I will be catching up with the scrap booking, and working on crafts and gifts for all of you!

I'll post some pictures of my projects as well......When they get done......

So, there you have your little fix of what Trevor and I have been up to!
